Come and praise the Lord with us!
First Presbyterian provides an opportunity for traditional worship in our historic sanctuary. We follow the reformed model for liturgy (the order of worship), prayer, Scripture, preached word, music (led by organ and choir) and congregational response. In our worship, we seek to magnify the glory of God and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ in ways that challenge the mind, nourish the spirit, honor tradition, demonstrate liturgical depth, exercise creativity through music and the arts, and address the needs of individuals and communities today.

Music and Liturgy: Our worship style is traditional, but we aren't a bunch of stuffed shirts. We follow the reformed model for the order of worship, prayer, Scripture, preached word, music (led by organ and choir) and congregational response. Expect to hear choir, organ, piano, and a wide variety of instruments for special occasions.
Communion: We remember the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month. By receiving communion, we are renewed and empowered to be the church--the body of Christ--in the world.

Children: Nursery is available from 9:45 a.m. until the end of 10:00 worship and sometimes later to accommodate "The Trek" Discussion Group. All children ages 4 through Elementary are invited to Sunday School during worship. Children are dismissed for Sunday School following the Children's Moment and return to the sanctuary after the sermon.
Adults: Brotherhood and Friendship classes at 9:00 a.m. on the 3rd floor and "The Trek" Young Adult Discussion Group after worship around 11:15 in Fellowship Hall.
